Terms of Service

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ScenePrep. You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you use ScenePrep on behalf of a company or production entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

ScenePrep provides production-oriented map scouting, film metadata context, weather and traffic-style intel, threat advisories, scout decks, call-sheet style exports, and AI-assisted analysis of user-supplied images. Features may change as we improve the product. Free and paid tiers may impose usage caps as described on the Pricing page.

• Paid plans. Pro Scout and other paid offerings are billed through Stripe (web) or the applicable app store. Current list prices (e.g. Pro Scout monthly/yearly) are shown at checkout and on Pricing; taxes may apply.
• 7-day ScenePrep Pro trial. Eligible new Pro Scout subscriptions may include a seven (7) day ScenePrep Pro trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, billing begins automatically at the then- current plan rate for the billing period you selected (monthly or yearly).
• Cancellation. You may cancel a web subscription via the Stripe customer portal or in-app billing controls when available. App Store / Google Play purchases must be managed through that store’s subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current paid period unless required by law or store policy.
• Changes. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing for subsequent renewal periods.

You agree not to:

• Violate law, third-party rights, or permit/licensing requirements for any real-world shoot.
• Attempt unauthorized access, scrape at abusive rates, reverse engineer non-public systems, or disrupt the service.
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or content you do not have rights to process with AI providers.
• Misrepresent ScenePrep intel as official government, police, or insurance advice.
• Resell or sublicense the service except as expressly allowed in a separate written agreement (e.g. Studio Tier).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

• ScenePrep. The ScenePrep name, UI, software, and original compilation of production tools are owned by the operators of the ScenePrep service or its licensors.
• Maps & film metadata. Map tiles, geodata, street imagery, and film/TV metadata may be provided by third parties (e.g. map providers, TMDB) and remain subject to those providers’ terms. Display in ScenePrep does not transfer ownership to you.
• Your content. You retain rights to content you upload (photos, notes, decks). You grant ScenePrep a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the features you use (including AI analysis you request).

Production intelligence in ScenePrep is advisory only. Threat ratings, traffic estimates, weather/sunset vectors, permit notes, AI location matches, and similar outputs are informational aids for planning. They are not legal, safety, security, insurance, or permitting counsel. Always verify conditions on the ground, obtain required permits, and consult qualified professionals before any production decision.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATORS OF THE SCENEPREP SERVICE AND THEIR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR PRODUCTION DELAYS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF SCENEPREP OR RELIANCE ON ANY INTEL IT PROVIDES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO SCENEPREP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
